‘In Mummy’s Cloud’: the book that simplifies ICT for children.

By David Atangana

A book titled ‘In Mummy’s Cloud’, presents a simplified introduction to cloud computing made accessible to children.

Authored by Lilian Sulika Tata, the book takes young brains into the world of information and communication technology (ICT).

Targeting children between the ages of 4 and 12, the publication takes learners through a playground containing resources used in cloud computing and provides a basic introduction in a fun and playful manner, that will be attractive to young brains.

Blending fun with content, the book takes into consideration the interest of children, which are necessary for the promotion of learning.

It introduces kids to the terminology and resources used in the field of information technology adopting a fun-filled approach.

This, according to the author makes them interact with these resources, understand them, and most importantly, gives them a foundational basis for what these concepts are used in the field of ICT.

“We start by playing around with cloud computing and simulate a playground where they can build and develop and grow resources in the cloud playground.”, the author said in a message.

At a time information and communication technology is sweeping across all sectors of life, the book is also useful for adults who want to be introduced to ICT:

“As much as this book is for kids, we believe that adults can benefit a lot from it as well, as it serves to present an understanding of these information technological concepts in a very simple and illustrative manner”, the author noted.

More information on this book and future releases can be gotten from the website https://shulikatata.com/

The book is available to order on Amazon and on the website.

This book is the first in a series of other books in ICT and it will be followed by a deep dive into other resources introduced within this chapter.

There’s gong to be other aspects like security, Networking, storage, databases, Devops, Machine learning, just to name a few.
