Indomitable Lionnesses face Uganda today in must-win return leg

Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses face the Crested Cranes of Uganda this evening for a crucial return leg match in the 2024 Olympic Qualifiers.

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will need to score at least three goals to zero in their return leg match against the Crested Cranes of Uganda today if they are to qualify for the 2024 Olympics.

The game takes place at 5 pm today at the Douala Reunification Stadium.

The Lionesses lost 2-0 in the first leg of the game that was played in Njeru, Uganda, on October 26. This means that they need to win the return leg by at least three goals to advance on aggregate.

A 3-0 win would be enough for the Lionesses to qualify, but a 3-1 win, for example, would send the tie to extra time and possibly penalties. However, any other score line below this standard would see the Crested Cranes advance to the next round of the qualifiers.

The Lionesses are the favourites to win the return leg, but they are in a delicate situation since they need more than just a win.

They will need to be at their best to overcome the two-goal deficit. Based on their last encounter, the Crested Cranes are a well-organized and disciplined team.

They will definitely be determined to keep the Indomitable Lionesses out of the 2024 Olympics.

The Lionesses are in good form, with a number of world-class players in their squad, including Ajara Nchout and Aboudi Onguéné, among others.

They will also be able to rely on the support of their home crowd.

The return leg of the tie is expected to be a close and exciting match. Both teams have a chance to advance, and the difference between the two will probably be extremely small.

The Lionesses are in a difficult position, but they are not out of the tie yet. They need to win by a score of at least 3-0 to qualify, but they have the talent and experience to do it.

They failed to qualify for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations this year. They will need to qualify for the Olympics to rebuild confidence among many fans.
