Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The Cameroonian national football team, known as the Indomitable Lions, arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, December 30th, 2023, to begin their training camp ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Dozens of Cameroonians in Saudi Arabia and supporters of the teams came out wearing the country’s traditional attire and the Lion’s jerseys to welcome the players and their team manager, Rigobert Song.

The Lions, who are five-time AFCON champions, will be using Jeddah as their base as they gear up for the tournament, which will be hosted by Ivory Coast for the second time. The competition kicks off on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, with the hosts taking on Guinea-Bissau at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
