Japanese man spends staggering $20,000 to become a dog

As strange as it sounds, a Japanese man named Toco recently spent a mouth-watering sum of $20,000 (over 11M FCFA) just to transform himself into a border collie dog.

Toco achieved this feat by actually purchasing a hyperrealistic border collie costume, with which he disguised and stepped out in public.

The Japanese who runs a YouTube channel said the costume acquisition fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming an animal one day.

The costume was crafted by a Japanese company called Zeppet over a period of 40 days. Toco savoured his newfound identity with a stroll in public which he filmed for his YouTube channel.

He was more thrilled at the super realistic features of his costume which made it almost for people to distinguish between his costume and actual dogs.

Explaining the purpose for his unusual transformation in writing, Toco said he had fulfilled a childhood dream, which was also fuelled by his deep admiration for the loyal and playful creatures.

He said he longed to experience life from the dog’s perspective. By hiding under the costume, he hoped to avoid the judgment and scrutiny that often accompanied unconventional choices, such as his.
