Journalist Anye Nde Nsoh was a very peaceful person -Colleague

Reactions continue to pour in from all angles following the brutal killing of Journalist Anye Nde Nsoh in Bamenda on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

The media family in the region and the nation as a whole has been inconsolable after armed separatist militants targeted and killed him.

One of the Journalists in the North West region who was very close to the late Anye Nde Nsoh said he was very peaceful, jovial, and harmless.

In a glowing tribute, Ndefru Melanie Ndefru who is also the promoter of Civiclens.Info regrets the unfortunate exit of Ndefru.

“Anye was a colleague and a younger brother. We shared the same roots-Mankon. He was very cool, friendly patient, reliable, and professional. You could never identify him with trouble-he would move away when trouble is sensed. Anye was someone who believed that what was his will come to him without raising his voice and not also stepping on any toe,” Melanie said.

Recalling her last moments with the slain journalist, she said, “My last moments with Anye was at a bottle dance party in Mankon where he even asked me to dance with him but I was shy.”

Melanie revealed that she was relaxing in another leisure joint on Sunday in the same neighborhood when news broke out of a shooting incident not far from her spot and before all was settled she learned it was Anye who was no more.

“On Sunday I was also having a drink somewhere around the Ntarinkon neighborhood when the shooting started and people were running. In the course of the running, someone said Anye had been shot dead. It did not occur to me that it was Anye Nde Nsoh. I am still hoping that he will call me to say can we have that dance on Saturday? It is quite unfortunate,” Melanin lamented.
