MRC leader, Maurice Kamto has called on government to resolve the Anglophone crisis as a prerequisite for organizing the expected regional election.
Speaking at a press conference in Yaounde today, Kamto announced what MRC militants term the last phase of their resistance.
“If the time has come, then it has come. Our struggle is moving towards its final phase” he said.
President Biya, Kamto went on, “has governed Cameroon through contempt and terror for almost 40 years.”
Any attempt to organise elections under such conditions , he warned will be met by a call for Nationwide demonstrations to demand the departure of Paul Biya.
The MRC leader is not new to crowds.
In February, he pulled a mammoth crowd at a rally in Paris, France. A bigger crowd welcomed him in Douala when he returned.
The MRC maintains its rejection of the 2018 presidential elections where Kamto emerged runner up, with the incumbent, President Biya retaining the seat.
