Karl Toko-Ekambi Leaves Olympique Lyonnais for Abha Club.

Cameroonian international striker Karl Toko-Ekambi has left Olympique Lyonnais and has officially joined Saudi Pro League club Abha Club on a two-year contract ending in 2025. This comes just over a week after an announcement was made that a deal had been agreed.

“Okaaay, it’s happening! TOKO EKAMBI is a player for Abha Club, with a contract until 2025 #ABHA,” the club announced today on their Twitter.

The 30-year-old, who joined Lyon from Villarreal in 2019, scored 29 goals in 93 appearances for the club.

Toko Ekambi signs on the dotted line to confirm his move from Olympique Lyonnais to Abha Club.

Toko-Ekambi was a regular starter for Lyon last season. Before the end of his contract, he was linked with a move to the Premier League, but Abha Club was able to win the race for his signature.

The Saudi club has reportedly paid Lyon a fee of €1.5 million with a €500,000 bonus for Toko-Ekambi, who will be their most expensive signing in history. He is expected to be a key player for Abha Club, which is hoping to challenge for the title in the 2023–24 season.

Toko-Ekambi is a versatile forward who can play as a striker or on the wing. He is known for his pace and dribbling skills, and he is also a good finisher. He will be a valuable asset to Abha Club, and he is sure to score goals in the Saudi Pro League.

Toko-Ekambi is a Cameroonian international, and he has 55 caps and 13 goals for the Indomitable Lions. He was part of the Cameroon team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017. Abha Club is based in the city of Abha, Saudi Arabia. They finished ninth in the Saudi Pro League last season.

The Saudi Pro League is one of the richest leagues in the world, and it is attracting some of the best players in the world. Toko-Ekambi is the latest high-profile player to join the league.

It is now up to Karl to show his Saudi Arabian fans they have every reason to believe in his talent.
