Some residents of Kolong, a village in Kenya, have tortured a 35-year-old woman and set her house ablaze for killing the rapist of her 3-year-old daughter.

According to local media reports, the woman killed the rapist on the evening of July 13, 2023, after she caught him red-handed in the act of defiling her daughter.

“The deceased had defiled the same child a year ago when she was two years old…He was released by a Kapsabet court after he was found to be mentally challenged,” stated a source.

After learning of the incident, the locals of the village attacked the protective mother without hesitation while setting her house on fire.

Latest reports have it that the woman is currently admitted alongside her daughter at Kapsabet County referral hospital in Nandi under the watch of police officers.

The mother is receiving treatment for injuries sustained as a result of torture by the irate neighbors while her daughter is receiving treatment for trauma and tears in her private areas.

According to the police, the woman is a murder suspect and will face the law after she recovers.

Meanwhile, many believe the woman has to be set free, considering that it was not the first time the act was carried out on her daughter.
