Kribi high school porn case:
SDO convenes extraordinary meeting after assault on two journalists

By Tata Mbunwe

The Senior Divisional Officer for Ocean Division, Antoine Bisaga, has scheduled an extraordinary meeting after teachers of Government High School Kribi brutalized journalists of Vision 4 and DBS on Wednesday.

DBS correspondent, Simplice Bogning, and Vision 4 journalist, Jean Calvin Kamta, came under attack from GHS Kribi teachers on the morning of Wednesday, March 3.

According to reports, they were halted at the gate and physically brutalized during their visits to the school campus to probe into an ongoing pornography case involving 20 students.

Vision 4’s Jean Calvin Kamta sustained more serious injuries after about 12 teachers punched and kicked him at the same time.

The school’s principal has decided to take charge of Kamta’s hospital bill after he was hospitalized. The principal also promised to open an investigation into the acts of violence.
Following the incident on the reporters, Senior Divisional Officer, Antoine Bisaga, announced a crisis meeting in the form of an extraordinary General Assembly, scheduled for Saturday, March 6.

School administration convicts 20 students for pornography
GHS Kribi school administration convened a disciplinary council on Wednesday, March 3, to address a recent pornography scandal involving 20 students of the Institution.

The students, among them 17 girls, had been incriminated by an obscene video that went viral on social media.
The disciplinary council, held between 3:30pm and 11pm on Wednesday, brought together parents of the students involved, however, ended without concrete agreement on the fate of the students.

“Parents will each have to wait, for a closed letter indicating the fate of their children,” suggested a parent who took part in the disciplinary council.

Unlike parents who were rather calm towards reporters, teachers of the GBHS Kribi ignited a violent approach against the journalists who came to get information about the affair.
DBS correspondent, Simplice Bogning, was the first to be brutalized and his work equipment vandalized.
