Kribi: Students dragged to court over alleged sex scandal

Some students of the Government Bilingual High School, GBHS Kribi have been dragged to court for reportedly engaging a sex scandal.

The act was discovered by the school’s superintendent, Sixte Akoa, after a student approached him to lay complaints.

“The student came to complain that a group of students were owing her 40,000 FCFA. While interrogating her, I discovered she had been abused sexually, and promised the sum of 40,000 FCFA” He said.

The superintendent also emphasized that the student did not approach him to complain about the abuse, but her main concern was rather the 40,000 she was promised and not given.

The principal of the institution, Nzamedjo Larmahi, lays the blame on parents who most likely tend to prohibit all forms of sanctions on their children.

“It is not necessarily to harm the child that we reprimand them. Now, you said the child has rights, the teacher has no right to touch the child. Well, when the results come out, let’s be ready to accept them.”

This is just one of the numerous sexual candals recorded in the same institution in recent months.
