Kumba: Gen. Goddy Elangwe of restoration forces abandons war

The administration of Meme Division in the South West region of Cameroon has expressed satisfaction following the resignation of General Goddy Elangwe of Kwakwa/Nake village from the fight for the restoration of the state of Ambazonia.

Speaking in Kumba Tuesday March 2nd 2021 shortly after surrendering himself to the administration, Gen. Goddy Elangwe said “… as a separatist fighter, I and my boys used to do many bad things”.

“I have decided to stop the war because it is instead worsening the situation. We are suffering in the bushes just as innocent civilians that live in villages” he said.

Wearing a jovial look, the repented separatist fighter launched a call for other colleagues in the bushes to lay their arms and embrace peace.

“People sit in their homes in the diaspora asking us to risk our lives. They have destroyed our future. Let’s come back home and settle peacefully ” he stated.

Gen. Goddy Elangwe of Kwakwa/Nake is not the first separatist general to have abandoned the struggle in the area.

Before him, others like Yannick Kawa Kawa, Naseri Clovis, Yannick Sicot, Success Nkongho, Nso Foncha, Nick Santos and many others have abandoned the struggle describing it as a mere scam organised by people in the diaspora to make money.

As some fighters continue to defect from the ranks of separatists, sources indicate that some soldiers of the Cameroon military have equally been running away from the war, claims Cameroon ministry of defence has continously rejected.
