The population of Kumbo, Bui division in the North West region of Cameroon are in fear following the kidnap of some teachers from the Baptist Training School for Health Personnel.

Those kidnapped include the principal of the school Mr. Nkwain Jacob Gobte, the secretary, two house keepers, the school pastor, the librarian and five teachers, Mimi Mefo Info has learnt.

A resident speaking Mimi Mefo Info says “armed men in assorted dresses arrived the school situated in the premises of Banso Baptist Hospital Kumbo at about 10 :30 am Monday May 17th 2021 and took away the teachers to an unknown destination”.

Locals in Kumbo are pointing accusing fingers at separatists for carrying out the act.

In the meantime, the Baptist Training School for Health Personnel remains empty this Tuesday.

Incidents of kidnap have been frequent in Bui division. Weeks ago, the mayor for Kumbo municipality called on the governor of the North West to intervene and safe the population.
