Kupe Muanenguba SDO instructs fleeing council workers to return else…

The Senior Divisional Officer for Kupe Muanenguba Division, Jean Marie Tchakwi, has ordered council workers to return back to Nguti.

This was during the first ordinary session of the council, held in Nguti on April 29.

Reports revealed despite security dispositions put in place, council workers earlier resisted going to Nguti for the 2021 administrative management and scores account session.

“You must tell us what is happening, What is this nonsense?” exclaimed Jean Marie while addressing the councilors at the session.

According to Molondo, local official in Nguti, the request by the Senior Divisional Officer is a positive move.

He said ” The SDO has told the mayor to take back his council and his workers to Nguti and that is a very good idea.”

He stated that reluctance by the council officials will rather set an opportunity for the separatists to completely take over the land.

Nguti Mayor, George Tong Enoh at the end of the session, acknowledged activities had been halted in Nguti due to insecurities and promised to ensure the return of workers to Nguti, as instructed by the SDO.
