Lawyers Urge Court To Free Kamto!

At the Mfoundi High Court this March 7, the leader of the Cameroon Renaissance Party, militants and other close collaborators will make a decisive appearance.

Their defenVe team will be demanding the court to free Kamto and his CRM aides following a habeas corpus application.

The lawyers are asking for the unconditional release of their clients on grounds of illegal arrest and detention.

The trials come when the US Assistant Secretary of State in charge of Africa Affairs has called on the Cameroon government to release all political detainees.

Professor Maurice Kamto and other leaders and supporters of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement Party have been in detention for over one month, since their arrests on the 26th and 28th of January 2019.

It is not known what twist the events will take, but Mimi Mefo Info is monitoring developments.
