Leicester Man Jailed for 25 Years for Violent and Sexual Offences Against Two Women

LEICESTER, UK – A man has been jailed for 25 years in prison for a series of violent and sexual crimes committed against two women in Leicester during 2023. Randy Ayor, 32, of HMP Leicester, was convicted after the two victims, who were unknown to each other, came forward to report his actions. Randy, also known as Baron, is of Cameroonian origin.

The women have been commended for their bravery in providing the accounts that led to the conviction.

First Victim’s Account

The first victim informed detectives that she met Ayor in a city nightclub in 2022. She further told the courts that in the months that followed, he raped her on several occasions. In her testimony, she recounted a specific incident where he strangled her to the point she believed she was going to lose consciousness.

Second Victim Details Abuse and Control

Ayor’s second victim, who first met him in 2023, also reported being raped and strangled by him. She also disclosed that he exhibited controlling behaviour, at one point taking her phone and dictating where she could go and with whom she could socialise. She told police he would become angry if she attempted to speak with other men and had discouraged her from spending Christmas with her family.

Conviction and Sentencing

Following a trial at Leicester Crown Court, Ayor was found guilty of numerous offences.

The charges relating to the first victim were:

  • Four counts of raping a female aged 16 or over
  • One count of sexual assault on a female by penetration
  • One count of intentional strangulation

The charges relating to the second victim were:

  • Two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm
  • One count of rape of a female aged 16 or over
  • One count of intentional strangulation
  • One count of engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour in an intimate/family relationship
  • One count of false imprisonment
  • One count of battery

On Thursday, 19 June, at the same court, Ayor was jailed for a total of 25 years. He was also issued a 20-year restraining order that prohibits any contact with the victims.

Police Commend Victims’ Courage

Detective Constable Lauren Brown, the officer in the case, further praised the women for coming forward.

“It’s apparent from the accounts given by both victims that Ayor is a dangerous individual who is prepared to use violence and controlling behaviour towards women for his own sexual gratification,” said DC Brown.

She added: “The information they both gave as enquiries progressed and during the trial – in which they had to re-live their ordeals – was crucial in securing a conviction. I hope that they and the wider community can take some reassurance from the fact he is now facing the consequences of his actions by way of a prison sentence.”
