Limbe: Plantain thief, accomplice apprehended and handed to police

A man specialised in plantain theft was caught red-handed in Isokolo Limbe, South West Region of Cameroon.

Witnesses say he frequently stole the plantains along the road leading to Omnisport Stadium from Krata after which he proceeded to sell them to a certain woman (his business partner).

The angry locals, some of whom were farmers accompanied the thief to his business partner in the market where the duo were arrested by the police.

“… We acted like everything was okay. As we arrived at the market, the woman handed him some money as usual, and that is when we intervened,” said the source.

The two were taken to the Central Prison in Limbe.
