A group of suspected armed robbers has been arrested by the Manjo Gendarmerie Brigade in the Moungo Division, Littoral Region.
The gang is made of 5 alleged armed robbers, who were intercepted by the Gendarmes following reports of a robbery case on December 08, 2021, according to Cameroon-Actu.
Gendarmerie sources revealed among other things that the gang was specialized in armed robbery. One of their several other robberies was carried out on December 04, 2021.
In that robbery, they robbed 3 Motorbikes from a rider residing in Manjo, and a sum of 300,000FCFA with the use of crude weapons.
The Gendarmerie Brigade of Manjo has called on the population of the Moungo Division to collaborate with the forces of law and order in the fight against crime.
Meanwhile an investigation is currently underway to shed more light on the activities of the arrested gang.
