Littoral Region: Woman mysteriously rescues passengers as bus catches fire

A woman has in circumstances described as miraculous has rescued an unspecified number of passengers from a 70 seater bus that went up in flames at a toll gate in N’lohe, Loum, Moungo division of the Littoral region.


The incident happened Monday May 23. It was a coaster which left Foumban in the Noun division of the West region for Douala.


According to sources, the lady in question asked the driver to stop the bus so she could relieve herself. The woman is said to have upon alighting from the bus immediately noticed fire burning underneath the bus and alerted passengers on board.

The passengers were all evacuated before the entire bus was consumed by fire. The main cause of the fire outbreak is however, yet to be identified.
