Local development: Nkambe Council inaugurates modern meat sale shops

The Nkambe council represented by its mayor, Musa Shey Nfor has inaugurated a newly constructed modern meat sales shop at the Nkambe old market.

The new modern meat sales shop comes to replace the old one which inhabitants had considered to be dilapidated and unhygienic.

To Musa Shey Nfor, Mayor of Nkambe council, the move is aimed at improving general hygiene, food security, and ensuring better control of meat-related products.

Speaking during the inauguration of the modern meat sales shop, Mayor Musa Shey Nfor reiterated that they will be a compulsory inspection of cattle before slaughtering and meat inspection in the approved slaughterhouse before being sold to the public. He said all butchers should ensure that they are medically fit.

Since the coming into power of Musa Shey Nfor and his team, the Nkambe council has been working to improve the well-being of the population. They have constructed an inclusive public toilet, relocated some makeshift
sheds, and constructed a solar-powered giant water project in some strategic areas of the town.
