Love gone sour: Sweden-based man arrested over alleged murder of pregnant Cameroonian lady

A man in his 30s is being detained in Vanersborg, Sweden, on suspicion of murder.

The suspect was arrested following the death of a lady, Carine, believed to be his partner.

“She (the victim) has been here for some months and was married to a Nigerian,” a Sweden-based Cameroonian familiar with the incident recounted.

“We don’t know what misunderstanding they had at home. He beat her to death. She was seven months pregnant when it happened,” he added.

MMI gathered that the police were alerted shortly after the lady’s corpse was found in a building at Central Vanersborg in the Västra Götaland County of Sweden.

The location was immediately sealed from the public, and investigations were launched to trace the killer.

The lady’s partner was later picked up by security forces and is currently behind bars pending legal action.
