Man arrested in Buea over suspicious death of partner

Reports say Menang Nsakse Kefu, a resident of Buea in the South West region of Cameroon has been arrested and is currently being held.

He is accused of the death of Yoh Francina, a lady with whom he was in a six month relationship.

Francina who worked with an NGO in Buea, reports say, was recently promoted at her place of work and threw a party to celebrate on Sunday October 4th at her residence.

Two days later, at about 3AM, her partner who is said to have been present at the ceremony used her phone to call Francina’s parents, telling them she had collapsed and blood was oozing from her nose.

Her father would later find the lady’s corpse at her house already in a decomposing state with wounds over the body. Reports say the family also found blood all over her apartment and a Doctor later revealed she died a couple of days earlier.

Media sources say Menang was later picked up and interrogated by security forces. He revealed that he beat his 25-year-old partner to death after they engaged in a fight.
