Man in his forties found dead in Bamenda after torrential rain

Bamenda residents have been in shock after a man popularly known as Samba was found dead in a gutter.

The body of Samba was found 500 meters away from their compound in the Behind Che neighbourhood in Bamenda II Subdivision.

The sad discovery was made after it rained this Friday for several hours in the restive city of Cameroon’s North West Region.

Sources have told MMI that “Samba was spotted earlier today having a stroll in the neighbourhood; unfortunately, he is no more at the moment.”

“We are shocked because it rained for few minutes and we are seeing the corpse of a man we are told left his house just a while ago, this is not normal,” a resident told MMI

Samba who was in his mid forties was found stocked with plantain suckers in a gutter at a place popularly called “two masters” Behind Che neighbourhood.

“After the first rain that lasted about 15 minutes, we discovered he was not in the house, so we launched a search only to find his corpse now,” the source told MMI.

His body has been deposited at the mortuary.
