Man on the run after allegedly poisoning lover to death in Littoral

A young man is said to be on the run after allegedly poisoning his lover to death in the Moungo division of the Littoral region.

The suspect is currently evading law enforcement officers in the locality od Kompina.

He is said to have gone underground after the death of his lover.

The lady in question is said to have fallen out with the young man who too was father of her child.

She is said to have attempted leaving the young man’s house after decrying his multiple abuses and assaults on her.

“… she got scared and wanted to go back to her father’s house to continue learning a trade. The boy was angry about it and removed a knife to stab her but people intervened,” a source stated.

Later in the evening, the young man is said to have purchased roasted fish and poisoned it before serving her.

“Immediately she ate the fish, she started complaining about stomach pains…” A source said.

Alarmed, her partner took to his heels and has not been seen since.

The lady’s corpse has been deposited in a mortuary.
