Manchester City to face Inter Milan in the UCL finals after a 5-1 aggregate triumph over Real Madrid.

Manchester City have qualified for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final after a 4-0 win over Real Madrid on the night at the Etihad and a 5-1 triumph on aggregate.

Guardiola’s team was in complete control when Silva scored twice in the first half (23″ and 37″), before Militao turned into his own net in the 76th minute, and replacement Alvarez added a late fourth in the 91st minute. Los Blancos bow out in the semi-finals with a whimper as the English champions cruise to the final in Istanbul.

City’s first-half effort was as excellent as it could get, with the team denying Madrid possession and frequently pinning them back. Last season, Los Blancos won the Champions League with a flurry of late drama, but that was clearly out of reach for Ancelotti’s team today, barring a little miracle, which did not come as Guardiola’s men did not take their feet off the pedal in the second half.

Manchester City will now face Inter Millan in the finals in Istanbul.

Inter, who easily defeated city rivals Milan in the last four, will face Manchester City in the Champions League final on June 10.

Before that, Madrid will attempt to mend their wounds against Valencia in La Liga on Sunday.

City’s treble ambitions for this season are alive and well, with Guardiola’s team capable of clinching the Premier League title when they play struggling Chelsea on the same day.
