The Secretary-General of Cameroon’s Popular Action Party, PAP, Fabrice Lena says all political moves without the aim of ousting President Paul Biya are a waste of energy and time.
“It is to me some sort of appeasement of wicked leaders to reduce their wickedness on the vulnerable population,” he says.
Since the country’s leaders “… cannot negotiate with the population, the population don’t have to beg or negotiate with them too. It is either they accept the uncomfortable conversations of negotiating to appease or to let go or they resign for a new regime to do that,” he says.
Fabrice Lena who was one of several participants in a September 22 protest to oust president Biya adds that “… All other efforts with these hard-hearted old men in Yaoundé is waste of time and energy. The Government and Allies are saying security should be beefed up to deal with the terrorist, the Amba Leaders and Supporters are saying arm Ground Zero. The killings will still continue.”
To him, Cameroonians should realize this and stop cajoling the irresponsible Government.
He believes “… The objective should be end to the long sword reign.”
Without this, he added, every other action would be a waste of time and effort.
Lena’s words come after several protests and condemnations of a school shooting in Kumba over the weekend with a current death toll of seven.
Several other kids are still receiving medical attention in health facilities across the South West region.
