Maurice Kamto’s Vice President regains freedom

The first vice president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party, CRM regained his freedom this morning.

Mamadou Mota who was jailed at the Kondengui prison in Yaounde since June 2019 was released few minutes after midnight on Friday, January 5th, 2021.

He was immediately received by the MRC(CRM) party leader, Professor Maurice Kamto.

Mamadou Mota was sentenced to years for organising “an unauthorised march against election fraud.”

The jail term was later reduced to 18 months following an appeal.
