Mayor disfigures CPDM MP’s face during bloody clash in South region

Honorable Josué Mbeyo’o, a CPDM member of parliament was last week a victim of a bloody attack.

The lawmaker was brutally attacked by the mayor of Biwoung-Bane following a heated argument on May 20, 2022.

The clash between the two politicians took place just after the march past parade which took place on the celebration of the National Unity Day.

It was during a reception organised by the mayor of that the MP of Mvila recieved a glass cup in the face.

He collapsed and lose blood according to witnesses.

Mayor Liboire Angono, the organizer of the reception had reportedly prohibited the MP from attending the event but the latter did not follow the instruction.

The municipal authority threw his glass of whiskey in the face of the lawmaker.

After this, the mayor took to his heels but will very quickly be caught by the divisional officer who had started after him.

Following the incident, the mayor was handed over to the Gendarmes to answer for his actions.

An unfortunate situation which according to many stems from internal wars within the ruling party, where many activists are at loggerheads.

According to reports, the CPDM MP for Mvila has been discharged from the emergency center where he had been admitted.
