Denizens of Ndoh Beach in Mbanga, Littoral Region of Cameroon have blamed alleged separatist fighters from the Meme Division for being the reason behind the increasing insecurity in their locality.
According to reports, the locals have been complaining of a series of attacks from the said alleged fighters.
They equally revealed that the poor state of the road has served as a contributing factor to the rise of attacks in the area.
“Business people here find it difficult to circulate freely on the road because of separatist attacks,” a man said.
He added, “Sometimes we don’t get alerts early, which is dangerous. The situation is very critical so my wish is for the roads to be arranged.”
The locals have however been urged by the Divisional Officer, Tamboh Christian to collaborate with security officials for their safety.
The chief of the locality on his part has encouraged the population to report all suspected cases in the area.
