Fabrice Lena, Secretary-General of the Popular Action Party, PAP has decried the recent killings in the South West Region’s Mbonge Subdivision carried out by government soldiers.
Reacting to the incident, the politician described it as an extermination of Southern Cameroonians, and a “repetition of the Ngarbuh Massacre at Mbonge before the eyes and ears of the world”.
“Indeed, as the Master and the Chief of Armed Forces of Etoudi said last December 2020, those who shall not succumb to the forces of law and order shall face the consequences. It is now very clear what he meant by this,” Lena stated.
“Unless you have a contrary argument, how on earth can a professional army with full training and knowledge gather a group of people guilty or not guilty and execute them?” He questioned.
The politician also made mention of other atrocities recorded in the ongoing war, describing them as war crimes. The international community, Lena stated, has more than it needs to act.
“What do the international community need again as evidence to establish Southern Cameroons case for self determination?” he quizzed.
“All the bloodshed,” he added, “shall never be without repercussions, especially on politicians comfortably maintaining the status quo, when they have the power to retreat peace”.
It should be recalled that on March 18, 2021, soldiers invaded Foe Bakundu in Mbonge Subdivision and killed separatist leader, ‘General’ Spirito, some separatist fighters and dozens of civilians including women, the old and kids.
