Meet a female shoe repairer and IDP in Yaounde

In our world today, several trades are still dominated by men — with the society perceiving them as exclusively destined for particular genders.

One girl, however, is breaking the ice, taking up a task believed by many to be meant “for men only”.

21-year-old Adella is braving the male-dominated shoe designers world.

After obtaining her Advanced Levels Certificate, she turned to the art as a means of generating income since she could not further her education.

“That is all she had to do, to sustain herself,” a source close to her tells Mimi Mefo Info.

Adella who hails from the restive North West Region of Cameroon, is now based in Yaoundé and has since been making remarkable strides as well as putting food on her table.
