Meyomessala: three arrested for allegedly murdering, decapitating woman

Three suspects are in detention in Meyomessala, South Region of Cameroon. They were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the murder of a business lady.

The decapitated body of the woman was discovered behind the Catholic church Meyomessala, days ago.

The corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, with several parts of her body cut off.

The three suspects, reports say, originate from the Northern regions of the country, a fact that has not gone down well with their kind.

Yesterday, a source told MMI, an angry crowd “… Came out at 7pm and destroyed stores belonging to those from the northern regions.

“… The act continued this morning, until security back up was called from Sangmalima and Zoatele,” he added.

Nordists, Anglophones and origins from other parts of the country, MMI is told, have stayed indoors for fear of being targeted.

Administrative authorities are yet to make any official remarks on the incident.
