Michaela-Batya Bisi Abam has been called up to join the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon for the up coming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Abam is an American-born Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a foward for American side, Houston Dash in the National Women’s Soccer League and the Cameroon national team.
She has played for Real Betis in the Spanish Primera Division, Paris FC in the Division 1 Feminine, Sky Blue and West Verginia University.
Houston Dash announced days back, “Michael Abam will join the Cameroonian Women’s National Team who is also competing in the group stage of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. Abam who was named to the 2019 World Cup squad for Cameroon will help the Indomitable Lionesses in the groups stage against Zambia, Togo and Tunisia.”
The 1.70m tall foward was born on 12 June 1997 (age 25). She scored in her debut for Houston after a transfer from Spanish side Real Betis.
Abam is currently having a good time with the American club and her presence in the Lionesses’ team will boost the performance.
