MINDEF meets and greets injured soldiers in Yaounde

Members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram continue to kill and harm security agents in the Far North Region of Cameroon. However, the war against the group has also brought untold misery to residents.

The fight for the restoration of Ambazonian state in English-speaking regions also has accompanying effects on the population and security agents. Government has not advanced up to date figures, but its troops have suffered heavy casualties.

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo has today saluted the bravery of military men wounded while defending Cameroon’s territory.

Visiting them this Friday at the military hospital in Yaounde, Joseph Beti Assomo urged the defence forces to be ready if called upon to assist in the fight against COVID-19.
