The erstwhile director of salaries at the Ministry of Finance, Emmanuel Lebou has been jailed for 104 years.
The verdict was handed down by the special criminal court in Yaounde.
The former director of salaries at the Ministry of Finance in Cameroon was found guilty of creating 2601 fake salary accounts.
The fake accounts, the special criminal court said amounts to FCFA 1.8 billion each month for Emmanuel Lebou for a period of 10 years when he occupied the post.
The 104 years jail term is one of the highest sentence slammed on an ex -official in Cameroon since the beginning of operation sparrow hawk in Cameroon.
