“Most anglophone ministers are separatists” – Nchia Roland Mua

The national president of the United Cameroon for Peace and Progress (UCPP) political party says members of government originating from the North West and South West regions want the separation of Cameroon.

In a telephone interview with Mimi Mefo Info Saturday, December 26, 2020, Nchia Roland Mua states “Most anglophone ministers are separatists. They have been fanning violence in the anglophone regions because of their overzealous quest for power.”

The young leader of a political party in Cameroon holds that Cameroon’s minister of territorial administration is the only exception from anglophone ministers given his fight to end terrorism.

“Paul Atanga Nji is a true Cameroonian. He has given his all to protect Cameroon. He is an anti-separatist. If Cameroon can have 3 or 4 other ministers like him, Cameroon will be a better place,” Nchia Roland Mua added.

To the promoter of One Cameroon television, other anglophone ministers are mainly playing to the gallery by denouncing terrorism during the day while sending funds to worsen the situation.

Earlier this year, he criticised Minister Paul Atanga Nji for doing nothing to support his One Cameroon TV that has as a main agenda to discredit separatist fighters and those fanning the separation of Cameroon.

In a Facebook post, the leader of NCPP called for the resignation of president Paul Biya. “If I were Mr. Biya, I will resign. Our country needs more than Mr. Biya and his incompetent administration.”

Questioned why he is calling for Paul Biya’s resignation after close to four decades of leadership, Nchia Roland says “…Cameroon is not governed. President does not rule. He keep sending ministers here and there to represent him. Cameroonians have not given these ministers any mandate so they are not obliged to give an account to us. Mr. Biya has not reciprocated what Cameroonians have given to him since he joined the government as a young man.”

He opines that Biya is old and the country needs a young man like him to unite Cameroon despite its diversity.

Nchia Roland Mua has been described by some critics as tool used by the minister of territorial administration to test public opinion on certain issues. He has been part of minister Paul Atanga Nji’s official delegations with no clear cut functions of what he does.
