The two men whose identities MMI got only as Clolvis, 35 and Joe, 36 are reported to have been found dead inside a well in Plantain Quarter, Yoke-Muyuka, Fako division of Cameroon’s restive South West region.
The duo was discovered Monday January 24. Locals said, they believe the men died inside the well on January 22. Some accounts hold that Clovis drowned in an attempt to rescue Joe who was trapped inside the same well. Both are said to have ended up dying in the process.
Traditional rites are said to have been performed at the incident site Monday and the corpses transported to the Muyuka Mortuary pending burial.
