The Urban Community of Ebolowa has distributed protective kits against COVID-19 worth over 19 millions FCFA to vulnerable communities of the town. The most notable beneficiaries to these donations were orphanages, health centres and schools. The ceremony for the handover was done on November 28, 2020.

About 10 lawyers of the Cameroon Bar Association have dissociated themselves from the ongoing nationwide lawyers’strike. The 10 lawyers have argued that the strike action is inappropriate and is discriminatory between lawyers. The strike action was called by the Cameroon Bar following acts of violence perpetrated on lawyers in Douala as well as the arrests and incarceration of others following a court brawl.
A gang of eight young men specialised in the theft of motorbikes in Douala-Littoral Region have been apprehended by security elements. The suspects were presented to the public at the Bonanjo Judicial Police Station today Tuesday December 1st.
Eight presumed bandits were presented to the press in Douala today. The boys arrested in different places in the city specialise in tracking people in the quarters most especially at night with the use of weapons. Their principal victims are commercial motorcycle riders and wealthy men.
The arbitrary arrest of suspected separatist fighters is on the rise in Meme Division. Though inhabitants appreciate efforts made by the military to maintain order, they frown at innocent people being equally arrested and transported to Yaoundé for torture. One of the suspects, Ngwa Neba alias Commander Zabra was arrested today in Fiango, Kumba.
The Nkol Afamba market in the Centre Region of Cameroon was been paralysed today. Traders denounced the fact that their shops were demolished at Nkoabang forcing them to go to a new site. To their greatest surprise, new shops are being constructed by other traders where the Mayor of Nkol Afamba banned trading activities. Equinoxe TV reports that the Mayor is in a dialogue with the irate traders earlier chased from the market.

The Islamist militant group Boko Haram has released a new video in which it said its fighters killed 78 farmers in Zabarmari area near Maiduguri in north-east Nigeria. On Saturday armed men on motorcycles led a brutal attack on farmers harvesting in rice fields. At least 43 bodies of the victims were recovered and buried on Sunday.
On on a three-day visit to Mauritius, Seychelles’ newly elected President Wavel Ramkalawan appealed to investors to come and finance businesses in his country. This is his first state visit since he was sworn in to office on 26 October as the fifth president of Seychelles. During a breakfast meeting on Tuesday, Mr Ramkalawan announced that his country will improve the business climate with new initiatives to improve its placing in the Ease of Doing Business Index. The goal is to reach the Top 10 by 2021.

A military court in Nigeria has convicted a former commander of the Nigerian military in the fight against Boko Haram after he appeared in a video on social media complaining of a lack of military equipment to fight the jihadists in the north-east of the country. Local media is reporting that he was found guilty of violating military rules which prohibit sharing any information about military operations on social media. The trial and conviction of Gen Olusegun Adeniyi followed an angry outburst he made in a video that went viral on social media.
Ugandan presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, known as Bobi Wine, has suspended his campaigns, following the injuring of members of his campaign team and damage to his car. The opposition candidate says bullets were fired at his car, puncturing the tyres and rendering it immobile. Videos shared by his campaign team on social media showed a yet to be identified object exploding meters away from him.
