Cameroon has dropped one spot down on the 2020 world ease of doing business Chart released by the World Bank compared to 2019. Out of 190 sampled on the global classification chart, Cameroon comes on spot 169 scoring 46.1 on 100. The World Bank notes that Cameroon has only ameliorated in one out of ten points used in measuring the ease of doing business in a destination. The first three spots in Africa are occupied by Morocco, Kenya and Tunisia
A high-profile Anglophone working at the presidency of the Republic of Cameroon is said to have escaped assassination today in Yaoundé. According to local inhabitants of “Immeuble La Lekié” unidentified armed individuals stormed the residence of the Anglophone Elite in the late hours of Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in search house owner who was absent at the time. Out of frustration, they are said to have shot and killed his domestic servant who was unfortunately present at the time. Locals declined to reveal his ID for security reasons, but an investigation has been launched to track down the perpetrators.
The Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation SOPECAM has disclaimed a social media article titled “Ekema Patrick Esunge may have been poisoned with Botox, autopsy test show” allegedly published by Cameroon tribune. In a communique published in the late hours of the day the Director-General of SOPECAM says the article was never published by the structure and the author, a certain Marline Eko Nalowa does not form part of the staff of SOPECAM.
The minister of transport Jean Ngalle Bibehe has suspended Ets Binam Voyage inter Urban transport agency for a period of three months after travellers in one of their buses were robbed of over 13 million FCFA over the weekend by armed bandits who posed as travellers robbed passengers at Obala on their way to Bafia. The bandits were picked up by the driver along the way. The driver has also been suspended for five years.

The search for corpses and possible survivors at the site of a landslide in Bafoussam to continue tomorrow. At nightfall this evening over forty corpses have been retrieved from the area. A landslide swept away houses in Ngwashe quarter at the Bafoussam 3 subdivision. The natural disaster has brought misery and pains on several families.

Bishop Andrew Nkea says the diocesan radio is the main medium to preach the people given that insecurity hampers his pastoral activities.
