New accord to give Tiko 5-star hotel

An agreement for the construction of a five-star Hotel in Tiko, Fako division of the South West Region has been signed between the Tiko council and a Brazilian council.

The agreement, signed on September 16, 2022, comes following a visit of the Mayor of Tiko, Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III to Brazil.

The structure will consist of a museum, gym, an event hall alongside a stage and storage, restaurants, a snack bar, 54 modern-sized bedrooms, VIP rooms, conference rooms, security and management offices, and external toilets.

The project, according to Chief Peter Ikome is aimed at improving infrastructural development in the municipality and promoting “… decent employment and massive recruitment to young people for the realisation of public investment projects in the Subdivision,” disclosed The Guardian Post.

The project was initiated by the mayor on the occasion of a visit to the 2022 AFCON village in Tiko by the Decentralisation and Local Development Minister, George Elanga Obama.
