The new Senior Divisional Officer for Bui division in Cameroon’s conflict-hit North West Region, Gilbert Meyong will be installed into his functions today.
He will be handed the reigns of power today Wednesday, October 27 by North West governor, Adolphe Leke Afrique.
Gilbert Meyong takes over a division that has been described as the epicenter of the current sociopolitical crisis rocking the Northwest region.
The Bui division is blessed with potentials but unfortunately, the development of the division has been retarded by the ongoing crisis.
As the division prepares to welcome a new Senior Divisional Officer, some elites of the division think that the time has come for them to retrospect and capitalize on the natural potentials they can boast of.
Before he was appointed SDO for Bui, Gilbert Meyong was previously Divisional Officer of Kumbo Central subdivision.
He takes over from Harry Lanui who moves to the West as SDO of Upper Nkam division.
