NGO Launches Initiative To Fund Projects For Anglophone Crisis Victims

Cameroon We Can, a non-governmental organization will be funding economic initiatives carried out by victims of the Anglophone Crisis who are between 17-25 years if these initiatives meet certain criteria.

The organization says young victims of the Anglophone Crisis should submit proposals and projects which will be evaluated by an internal jury at Cameroon We Can, and winning projects will be made public through the media.

The project proposals submitted will be evaluated based on criteria which include: relevance of the project; and the quality and relevance of the project objectives.

The project is deemed relevant if it tackles personal development issues; Importance of the economic sector/targeted trades; Consistency concerning the job creation strategy; Local development issues;
Sustainability of the economic sector/targeted professions; and Consistency with the social objectives of Cameroon We Can in the fight against poverty.

Meanwhile, the quality and relevance of the project and its objectives will be judged based on whether the project relates to gender equality and social equity; Capacities of actors to carry out the submitted project;
Adequacy of the means identified in the proposal with objectives; Project sustainability beyond funding from Cameroon We Can; Economic and social development: and the professional integration and employability of competent people.

Summarily, Cameroon We Can says the project proposal will finally be evaluated based on the following criteria: Importance of the economic sector/trade; Capacities of stakeholders to lead the project; Ability to make good use of existing resources; Ability to mobilize additional resources to be found; Adequacy of the budget with the actions to be carried out. Sustainability of the project beyond funding.
