Nigerian artists win big at 63rd Grammy Awards

Nigerian singers, Wizkid and Burna Boy have been on the lips of many for hours now after bagging home recognitions at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

While Burna Boy’s “Twice as Tall” album gave him recognition in the World Music Album category, Wizkid’s “Brown Skin Girl” collaboration with Beyonce and Blue Ivy emerged winner in the Best Music video category.

Burna Boy’s victory, it should be recalled, comes as his second trial after his African Giant album lost to Angelique Kidjio last year in the same World Music Album category.

Among many who have been sending congratulatory messages to the artists is their musical ‘rival’, Davido.

“Whichever way you look at it, this is a victory for Nigeria for the culture and for my people! Congrats to our winners!” Davido tweeted.
