A woman aged 93 is said to have died at the Nkongsamba General Hospital in the Moungo division of the Littoral region after a car hit her in a her residence Monday.
The car which missed its way into the compound of the deceased was said to have been driven by a son of the man who owns the vehicle. The vehicle is said to have destroyed the fence of the woman’s house before leaving her with broken legs.
According to a daughter of the deceased, “I was behind the house when I heard a loud sound. When I rushed to the scene, I met my mother lying down with her legs destroyed. She was crying for help. That’s how I began shouting and neighbours came and they took her to the hospital” .
Another resident of the same neighbourhood is quoted as having explained that, the guy who was on the steering had just finished washing his father’s car. The youngster is said to have set the vehicle in motion and all people were left to see, the same source said, was the destroyed fence and the broken legs of the deceased.
