North West Region and Manyu Division to suffer blackouts

Frequent power failure has characterised the North West region of recent. Despite this, the people say they continue to pay high electricity bills at the end of the month.

As of this weekend, inhabitants of the North West region of Cameroon and part of Manyu Division in the South West region will have to seek alternative sources of energy Saturday, June 27th 2020.

Going by a release signed Wednesday June 24th by Bernard Fanga Djame, director of the lone electricity company – ENEO for the West and North West regions, there will be energy interruption from 6:30 Am to 5:30 PM June 27th.

ENEO explains that the purpose of the energy interruption is to carry out repair works at the Bamenda sub station. They have advised inhabitants to disconnect all electrical appliances and only reconnect at least 15 minutes after electricity has been established.
