Northwest: Woman buried alive for killing husband in Kumbo

A woman is reported to have been buried alive for killing her husband in Kumbo, Bui division of the North West Region.

The incident took place yesterday, Thursday September 30, 2022.

According to reports, the woman said to be mentally unstable was involved in a deadly fight with her husband. The latter, however, did not come out of the fight alive.

“They were fighting and she was hitting him. Children in the neighborhood were screaming, urging her to let her husband be but she would not hear,” a source told MMI.

“She kept on hitting him until he collapsed and gave up the ghost,” added our source.

Angered by the act, the villagers apprehended the woman, tied her and beat her up.

They, later on dug a grave in which they reportedly buried the deceased alongside his wife.
