Obala: Man Stabbed to Death In Front of Wife & Kid

The body of a man has been reportedly stored in the mortuary in Obala, in the Center Region after his life was prematurely ended by an unidentified assassin.

The heinous act was done as the victim returned from a traditional wedding ceremony accompanied by his wife and his child.

The victim, Severine Ndobo is said to have been targeted. His daughter recounts that they noticed they were being followed by the mysterious man on their way back from the wedding.

“We initially thought it was another road user just like us. So I asked my dad for us to branch somewhere and let him go in front of us, ” she recounted.

“When my mother made the turn to get around him, we discovered that the man had started going towards her. That was when my dad pulled my mum and stood in front of the boy and asked him why he was following us, ” she said.

Having stood in front of the man, the daughter says “the assassin without hesitation and without even uttering a word pulled out a knife and stabbed my father with it,” she said on Vision 4 TV.

The elder brother to the deceased adds that after the victim had been stabbed, he grabbed the assassin with all the strength he had left in him. He was apprehended by the population, but the assassin survived mob justice with the timely Intervention of the Gendarmes at the scene.

An investigation has been opened to find out more about the assassination of Severine Ndobo.
