Onana and others not called by Brys
Cameroon’s national team coach, Marc Brys, has excluded several top players, including Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana, from the squad for the upcoming international friendlies. The Indomitable Lions are set to face Uganda on June 6 and Equatorial Guinea on June 9 as part of their preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The official squad list was released on Monday, notably missing key names such as André Onana, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Napoli), and Carlos Baleba (Brighton & Hove Albion).
Brys has introduced fresh faces to the team, with four players receiving their first national call-up. Three of these newcomers come from Cameroon’s domestic Elite One league:
