One dead, three injured as Amba fighters attack home of Balikumbat DO

Government has continued to face more setback in the North West and South West region, after a bloody weekend.

This time, separatist fighters are said to have taken the attack to the administrators.

One civilian is reported to have been killed and three other persons; two Gendarmes and one civilian seriously injured during an attack on the residence of the DO of Balikumbat in Ngoketunjia Division.

Separatist fighters are said to have stormed the residence early Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at around 3am, making away with a helmet and ammunition.

A backup military vehicle called during the attack is said to have been hit by an Improvised Explosive Device, leaving two gendarmes seriously injured.

The civilian injured, is said to have been a commercial motorbike rider whose passenger died on the spot while another passenger sustained injuries.
