Over 10,000 litres of illicit fuel seized from individual in Kribi

Guy Francis Maleguel, a famous fuel dealer has been apprehended in the town of Kribi with more than 10,000 litres of Illicit fuel.

Security sources say the suspected trafficker was apprehended last week with an automatic pistol and the fuel in his keeping.

The gun and the fuel were seized from the trafficker, alongside a sum of more than 10 Million FCFA.

Guy Francis is known to be the biggest fuel trafficker in the whole of the South Region, with security agents admitting that it felt good to finally have him in their grip.

He was presented to the police commissioner of Ebolowa on June 8, 2021 after spending some days in detention. It is believed that he is a protege of certain bigwigs of the Republic.
