Parents, neighbors are suspects – Meme SDO

Hours after this Saturday’s school shooting in Kumba, South West region of Cameroon, the senior Divisional Officer of Meme said, every surrounding residents are suspects and should be arrested.

Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong’s remarks came shortly after the brutal killing of at least five kids who were at the Monica Francisca International Bilingual Academy today.

The SDO also said, even parents should not be spared.

“Let me also seize this opportunity to talk to all the parents, because I cannot understand that during the day Amba boys are attacking innocent children and the surrounding population are there without doing anything,” Mr Ndong said, adding that “all of them should be arrested , who do not support the affected children.”

Authorities and local sources say separatists were responsible for the attack.

Other injured students are now receiving treatment in hospital.
